Capacity Results for Finite-Field X-Channels with Delayed CSIT
نویسنده
چکیده
We establish the capacity region of the two-user Finite-Field Fading X-Channel with delayed channel state information at the transmitters. We consider the most general case in which each transmitter has a common message for both receivers and a private message for each one of them. We derive a new set of outer-bounds for this problem that rely on an extremal entropy inequality. This inequality quantifies the ability of each transmitter in favoring one receiver over the other in terms of the delivered entropy when both receivers must obtain a baseline entropy. We show that the outer-bounds can be achieved by treating the X-Channel as a combination of a number of well-known problems such as the interference channel and the multicast channel. The capacity-achieving strategies of these subproblems must be interleaved and carried on simultaneously in certain regimes in order to achieve the X-Channel outer-bounds. Index Terms X-Channel, finite-field model, channel capacity region, interference channel, delayed CSIT.

Feedback and Cooperation in Wireless Networks
The demand for wireless data services has been dramatically growing over the last decade. This growth has been accompanied by a significant increase in the number of users sharing the same wireless medium, and as a result, interference management has become a hot topic of research in recent years. In this dissertation, we investigate feedback and transmitter cooperation as two closely related t...
متن کاملDistributed Space-Time Interference Alignment With Moderately Delayed CSIT
This paper proposes an interference alignment method with distributed and delayed channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT) for a class of interference networks. The core idea of the proposed method is to align interference signals over time at the unintended receivers in a distributed manner. With the proposed method, achievable trade-offs between the sum of degrees of freedom (sum-D...

We develop a characterization of fading models, which assigns a number called logarithmic Jensen’s gap to a given fading model. We show that as a consequence of a finite logarithmic Jensen’s gap, approximate capacity region can be obtained for fast fading interference channels (FF-IC) for several scenarios. We illustrate three instances where a constant capacity gap can be obtained as a functio...

متن کاملOn the Degrees of Freedom of SISO X-networks with Synergistic Alternating Channel State Information at transmitters
In this paper, we consider the two-user single-input single-output (SISO) X-channel and K-user SISO X-network in fast fading environment. It is assumed that the transmitters have access to synergistic alternating channel state information (CSI). Specifically, the CSIT alternates between three states, namely, perfect, delayed and no-CSIT, in a certain manner to enable these states to work togeth...
